Description – Explanation :
The Twin Towers, or The World Trade Center, collapsed on September 11, 2001, after 2 passenger planes crashed into them. This happened in connection with a joint terrorist attack on the United States on September 11, 2001. The events mentioned on that day have subsequently been called “The Terror Attacks the 9/11”, “The September 11th attacks”or “9/11”. It was terrorist hijacked passenger planes that crashed into the Twin Towers. In addition to the attack on the Twin Towers, there were 2 other terrorist attacks in the United States at the same time, a total of 4 hijacks and 3 major terrorist attacks on the United States that day. All of the attacks occurred by hijacking passenger planes and directing them as rocket bombs to the relevant targets. One of the other targets was the Pentagon headquarters near Washington. The fourth hijacking was relatively unsuccessful for the terrorists, since the passengers managed to overpower them, but the plane crashed or made an emergency landing in a field in Pennsylvania. The latter plane was actually meant going to the Congress building or the White House (the presidential residence) in Washington to target one of those buildings.
The terrorists were Islamic fundamentalists, members of the so-called “Al-Qaeda” group, who were strong opponents of the United States, especially because of the United States’ opposition and criticism of Arab countries with strict Muslim-ruled regimes.
The attacks and plane crashes occurred between 8:46 a.m. and 10:03 a.m.
The total number of victims or deaths was 2,996, including 19 Al-Qaeda terrorists.
The number of injured was approximately somewhere between 6,000 to 25,000.

The same evening as the events of September 11 2001 occurred, the CIA informed President Bush that the terrorist attacks were carried out by Al-Qaeda, led by Osama bin Laden, who had his headquarters in Afghanistan. President Bush and the United States then launched a type of war campaign against Al-Qaeda, Osama bin Laden, and possibly the regime in Afghanistan, and other Arab regimes that were in league with Al-Qaeda. This resulted in Osama bin Laden allegedly being killed in 2011, but the war against Al-Qaeda and a similar organization, the Taliban, continued until 2021.
